For example; does your agent know what school district the property is in? Who are the biggest employers nearby? Where the public transit options? What about the crime rates in the area?
All of these variables can have a huge impact on the value of the property, and if you're planning to rent, they can impact your ability to find good tenants.
Websites that spit out census data are great resources for these questions, but they don't give you the full picture.
For that, you need a Realtor with an in depth understanding of the area who has lived in and grown up around these places, people, and governments, and can give you the most accurate information.
